Residency programs

Artist meets chef, Rovinj Weekend residency, Zagreb & Vienna

Nomad runs two residency programs:

Artist meets chef in partnership with Maistra Collection investigates the notion of creation that brings together contemporary gastronomy, hospitality and visual arts at the Hotel Adriatic in Rovinj, Croatia. Organized by Jelena Tamindžija and Vanja Žanko, together with Tomislav Brajnović. Hotel Adriatic collection is curated by Vanja Žanko.

Weekend residency program in Zagreb, Croatia and Vienna, Austria is dedicated to understanding the differences in art production, presentation and distribution in different stages of transitional political economies.

Our residents in both programs are artists, architects, curators, designers and collectors working in nearby countries: Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Germany, Serbia, Slovenia. According to the World Bank, some of those countries should have completed the transition process, but in dialogue with colleagues, it becomes clear that the art world in these territories is still in transitional and turbulent period.
