Eva Engelbert (1983, Vienna) is an Austrian artist. Her work is multidisciplinary, combining craft, text, archival material and photography. She translates her research about history, as well as historical narratives of specific places into visual forms that operate somewhere between the real and the surreal, between the past and future.
Eva Engelbert teaches at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Together with the artist Katrin Hornek she plans and organizes exhibitions like Mission W, Biosphärenpark Wienerwald, Vienna (2015) and A sense of place, Kunstraum Lakeside, Klagenfurt (2012).
